Are you living with a disability?
You can now climb with our motorized auto-belay
Practicing Footing Vertical™ is like using an “electric-assist bicycle for climbing.”
Footing Vertical™ is made possible thanks to our motorized auto-belay device: a technological system composed of a motor and a strap. The strap attaches to the harness of the climber with a disability, and the motor provides adjustable weight relief. This way, they can climb while feeling significantly lighter — as if they weighed only 20 kg (44 lbs).
It allows them to gently return to physical activity, safely and with confidence. If they let go of the holds, the motorized auto-belay device automatically supports them. This means they can take breaks whenever they need to.
You can also sign up for your parents and grandparents.
The benefits of climbing for people with disabilities.
strengthens muscles
Climbing engages the entire body and strengthens muscles in a balanced way. It develops upper body strength through pulling movements, while the legs and core provide stabilization and propulsion. This sport also improves muscular endurance, coordination, and proprioception. Unlike traditional weightlifting, it activates muscles through active stretching and eccentric contractions, promoting flexibility and resistance to injuries.

Climbing engages both the mind and the body, requiring focus, stress management, and self-overcoming. Each route or boulder problem is a puzzle to solve, stimulating thought and creativity. This sport enhances skills such as memory, visualization, and planning. In addition to providing a sense of accomplishment, it promotes the release of endorphins, reducing anxiety and depression.
strengthens muscles
Climbing is a demanding activity that boosts metabolism and promotes calorie expenditure. By engaging multiple muscle groups, it reduces body fat while building muscle mass. It also improves insulin sensitivity, helping to regulate blood sugar levels. Through the alternation of effort and rest, it contributes to weight loss and metabolic balance.
strengthens muscles
Climbing is an activity that fosters camaraderie and sharing, whether indoors or outdoors. It encourages teamwork, communication, and mutual trust. This creates a strong sense of belonging to a supportive community. It helps individuals organize, overcome challenges, manage emotions, focus, perceive their environment, and become aware of their body and position in space.

Footing Vertical™ for active and less active people with disabilities.
For active people with disabilities
The motorized auto-belay allows active individuals with disabilities to try a new, highly engaging activity, including climbing with their climbing friends. Being already active, these individuals will have no difficulty experiencing Footing Vertical™, which enables them to climb safely, take breaks whenever they need to, or challenge themselves by reducing the level of assistance to a minimum.
For less active people with disabilities
Practicing Footing Vertical™ is ideal for people with disabilities who are more sedentary or not very active, as it allows them to gently ease back into physical activity at their own pace. One of the main obstacles to exercising is often the lack of strength required to support their own body weight. Thanks to the motorized auto-belay device, which can reduce up to 100% of body weight, it becomes possible to climb effortlessly while enjoying all the benefits of the activity.
Over time, participants gradually decrease the level of assistance until they’re able to climb at their natural body weight. Even with just one session per week, improvements in muscle strength and balance appear within a few weeks, accompanied by a strong sense of pride and lasting well-being.
